Just bought a used Surveyor 186SP, and the previous owners had removed some brackets from the wall leaving behind small holes in the wall with shank of screws still embedded in wall. I'd appreciate any suggestions on how to fill the holes and what to use on top of fill to match the beige color of the wall.

Just a suggestion - Polyfilla to fill the holes and furniture retouch sticks available in many colors from your local hardware store to color match.
Check Lowe"s or Home Depot or any home improvement or hardware store for laminate counter top seam sealer, comes a small tube and many colors and sets up hard.
