Leak near water pump

I have a leak that appears to be a valve/filter that attaches to the inlet of the water pump. Has anyone ever had this problem? I think it was leaking from the clear cap that screws onto the valve to access the screen but can't tell for sure. Of course we are leaving for a trip Thursday. I guess if worse comes to worse I can just disconnect the valve and cap it off until we get back. Just not sure if the valve is bad or what and looking for anyone who might have had this same problem and if it is fixable or have to replace this valve. Looks like it is a one way valve also to keep the prime on the pump when using the fresh water tank. Don't know why it isn't or can't be isolated from the city water inlet. Hope that makes sense. I attached a picture of said valve.
