Do you often fill your fresh water tank from the outside fill port?
The large hose you mentioned would only have water in it when you are filling the tank.

Also, if you are connected to city water there could be a 'slim chance' the fresh tank is back-filling through the water pump but if that is happening, there should be water running out either the fill port or the vent tube or both.... and lots of it! This doesn't happen often but it can, so I just wanted to throw it out there.

Photos would likely help if you can get them.
There's always a chance the water is coming in elsewhere (along the refrigerator vent(s) the exhaust vent or another exterior point and simply dripping on (then off) the large hose.

Also make sure the drain hose is outside of the vent and not hanging inside

not sure what you mean about hose being outside of the vent i can see the outside wall through the hole where the hose is attached to the water port and its dripping between outside wall and inside wall

Yes, this would be the refrigerator condensate drain tube.

It usually sticks out the lower refrigerator vent a few inches.
It's the short white hose in the photo. They have been known to get brittle and break inside the outer compartment. There really wouldn't be 'lots' of water coming from this in the wintertime though. More so on hot humid days.

It could have come from you having freezing conditions in your plumbing and likely your system back filled via the city water connection through the check valve in your onboard water pump. There are thousands of complaints here on this forum about this happening even without freezing conditions. Do a search for 'fresh water tank overfilled' or 'water pump check valve' and you will have a better understanding.
