Leaking outside shower

The plumbing in our 2013 Silverback has been working fine until I used the outside shower on this last trip. The outside shower valves are in the forward equipment bay and have a coiled hose connected to them. When I turn on either or both the hot and cold valves we get water out the hose, but a small stream also flows out of both hot and cold handles. Fortunately, the leak is outside the wall and not inside the wall or behind the valves. Could this be related to the backflow preventer? Does it sound like the faucet assembly needs to be replaced?

You may be able to just change the o rings in the handles. I'd try before replacing the assymbly.
Good luck!
