Leaky Suburban 10 Gal Hot Water Tank

I've a 2011 Berkshire 390BH that has a Suburban 10 gal hot water tank. It appears to be leaking from the heating element chamber that extends into the tank. All fixtures are fine etc., rod is new and no leaks, pressure valve is dry, but when I look into the element chamber there is water slowing running out. Is it possible/likely that this component has corroded? If so, is it replaceable or do I need a whole new tank?

Just to make sure we're on the same page. You're talking about the connection that the electric element screws into?

If so and it's not leaking around the element o-ring, then replacing the heater is going the be the only fix. The element fitting on the tank can't be replaced.

I'd try real hard to pin down exactly where it's leaking. Maybe use your phone if it has a pretty good camera and take some pics and see if you can zoom in on it.

The statements about the heating element 'chamber' have me confused.
Could you elaborate or post a photo?
I've not heard this nomenclature previously.

I was also a little confused, and that was the reason for my question about the if it was the electric element fitting. However, it really doesn't matter if it's that fitting or if it's leaking from the burner tube. Either way it takes a new heater tank to fix it.

It could be as simple as the "Electric Heating Element" is not screwed in completely and is not sealing. Don't be tearing out a WH without determining the exact cause of the leak.

Yes, that's right. It's where the propane flame shoots into the chamber that's centered in the tank :-)
