Legend surveyor 252rble water heater not working

I bought a Legend surveyor 252rlbe 2022, I been on the RV 3 weeks now, I had hot water and I never had a problem since I bought it.

Yesterday I took a shower and the water was hot but started getting warm and today don’t have any hot water. I know says is gas and electric bit don’t see any switch from gas or electric.

Can someone help me out with this issue?

It most likely a Suburban SW6D water heater.

The electric switch is on the outside panel of the water heater, next to the anode. Not sure where your gas selection switch is located in your trailer, on mine it is in the bathroom control panel.

In the picture, the black circle is the switch for electric.

If you ran out of hot water and had it on propane, you might have ran out of propane. Might want to double check that. You can run the heater on either gas, electric, or both for faster recovery. Just remember to turn the electric part off when draining tank.

Welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. If your hooked up to shore power turn the electric switch to on outside at the WH. If you wish to run propane hit the switch on your control panel inside to start the propane. Are you sure you have propane worth checking.

surveyor legend 252 RBLE

Thanks for the response

Yes I have propane but I open the hot water and won’t come out, turn switch from the panel under the sink and still no hot water

This is the heater I have and don’t have any switches inside of the WH.

For future reference a SW6D is a propane only water heater with direct spark ignition thus the D in the model number. If a Suburban has the electric heating element, it will also have an E in the model...as in SW6DE

You have an Atwood/Dometic brand water heater

Are you saying that when you turn the hot water faucet on water comes out or no hot water comes out. It makes a difference if no water make sure you pump is on or that your city water is on. I checked the spec on your rig and they come stock with a propane/electric WH.

So this appears to be your water heater model’s manual. And from the manual it shows that the electric portion is directed by a “On/Off” switch located elsewhere. (Not like the Suburban where it’s on the heater unit itself)

From your pictures, what does the single toggle switch next to your tank level indicator do? Maybe that is for your electric portion for your water heater.

Also, check to see if it the unit itself needs reset or a blown fuse.
