Low water pressure

We have taken our new to us camper out twice now. Both times we noticed very little water pressure when hooked up to city water with a pressure regulator. I have tried two different regulators with the same result for both. If we use the water pump with our tank it is much better. Any suggestions would be great.

Have you tried it without any regulator? What size hose are you using? Do you use any filters? Have you checked the pressure at the park faucet? Have you checked the screen on your city water input?

I have always heard it was bad to run it without a regulator, so I have not. I am using a standard drinking water hose. The screen looks clear as well. The pressure always seems to be strong when I flush the water faucet before I hook up. I have not located a filter in the trailer yet. Don't even know where to start looking.

I've never used a regulator.
Been camping ⛺️ for 20 + years

Regulators are known to go bad. If you encounter problems like your having I would purchase another one.
I purchased this one: Adjustable Water Regulator - Lead Free - Valterra A01-1117VP - Faucets & Inlets - Camping World

It works great and you can see what the pressure is. It is also adjustable using a flat head screwdriver to set the pressure your comfortable with.

Just got back from a long trip. we had the same problem. We found a hi flow pressure regulator at a camp store and it worked great.

Currently on the road, but when I get back the first thing I'm going to buy is an adjustable regulator. What pressure are you using? I can't see anywhere what the recommended or maximum pressure should be.

We use a 50psi high flow regulator.
