Missing water filter

Hello everyone.

My wife and I are new owners of a 2010 forest river rockwood signature ultra-lite 8317ss.

Even though the dealership "winterized" it, before I put it into storage I wanted to kind of go through everything to start to learn our new trailer.

I found the water pump and location of where the water filter should be located, but there is literally just the white screw top where I assume the filter and housing would be located. I looked through the manual and search this site and couldn't find and part numbers or anything.

Hoping someone might be able to steer us in the right direction.

Thanks,
Mike

Are there plumbing lines attached to it?
Many folks have bypassed the filter (hooked the in-out lines together) and left the filter head screwed in place.
If there are lines attached to it, the housing and filter 'may' have been removed for a type of winterizing and stashed somewhere in a drawer/cabinet.

Below are photos of the two most common filter housings/canisters FR uses.
You should be able to match and get numbers from the photos.

As 5picker says....did they bypass it, cause a great many of us have. A search on the topic here will give you hours of reading material where people have had trouble with those filters getting undone, hearing a thump in the middle of the night to find water leaking from the filter.
I have had 2 trailers now with that filter, and it's the first modification I made before ever running water through the units, bypassed it and use a filter outside instead...it can leak all it wants out there, at least it won't do damage.
