Move attachment point for Roo Showerhead

I have a 2016 Roo 183 and exchanged the showerhead for an Oxygenics one, which I love... The problem is that the holder for the showerhead is too low for me. I want to move it about 3 inches higher to be able to get under the water flow without ducking.

But I am a bit nervous about putting new holes in my shower stall. Am I over thinking this and I just need to move it up and then fill in the old hole with some silicon?

Thanks for any assistance

You are over thinking it just move it and fill the holes. Myself I don't like silicon I use tub and sink type of caulk
