New Install of Water Pump
So once again my water pump had to be replaced. This time the exact model was not available and my RV tech had to install a similar but slightly different unit. With its fittings, it had to install at an angle and not relatively level like my last one. He says that is no problem but I wanted to double check the forum for validation. Is the pump not level going to give me any future problems? Thx.

The picture is correct way UP... due to the big filter being upright.
so the pump is just hanging in the air OR
is it actually screwed into any support / wall?
I would NOT allow it to just hang there and put strain on all the plumbing fixtures.

Moved thread from the General Community Discussion section to the Plumbing and Water Systems sub-forum since the OP's topic is specific to Plumbing.

That position is ok. If the pipes are supporting the pump, that is not ok. Anchor the pump to a stud or something secure or you WILL have leaks in the piping.

I believe I see a silver screw head in the pump bracket so I'm guessing it isn't hanging by the hoses but if that is the ONLY screw, then you'll need to install another on the left side viewing the photo.

Pump looks ok.
I would remove water filter housing and bypass it go with outside filter housing something easy to service.
Something like this saves on rv antifreeze

Just be advised, most of the little screw-on exterior water filters are 20 micron. The real cartridge filters in housings can be 1, 0.5 or even 0.1 micron filters.

Yep! If you really want a good filter system, a dual cartridge system with a sediment filter followed by a charcoal filer is best. Well...unless you want to kill bacteria, then you need a UV light which requires power.
I have no issues with taste or odor from my well, so I have a 0.5 micron filter followed by a UV light bacteria killing filter at home.

I use a filter more to catch any dirt in water lines one campground my filter plugged up after 2 days use. I'm glad filter caught it and didn't end up in my water system or tank or valves.

FYI, you don't see a filter in the plastic casing since I didn't want it to absorb my antifreeze. To winterize my system I only use about a gallon and a half...less than $10 worth.

I see a diffent problem you have water in your filter housing. That will freeze for sure also tells me you have water in a line. Also next time you winterize put an empty Gatorade bottle w the tip on in the Filter housings use less antifreeze that way.. personally I would have orderd a pump and done it myself change the pre filter screen or at least clean it. Unless this was a warranty issue

Will it work? Probably.
But man oh man, what a mess. A pump installer could have rather easily mounted the pump level if he/she had been willing to extend or reroute some of that awful factory plumbing. Probably just did it the quickest way. Not your fault, but the fault of all the people that have been in there.
The photo attached is how mine looks after I straightened it up a bit and replaced the filter housing with an accumulator. I prefer external water filters.

Pump
Pumps should last for a hell of a long time. I would check the voltage to that motor and make sure you can install it upside down.. you also should install a bigger hp motor.

Very nice…I don’t have the skills/tools to rework this but like the cleanliness and symmetry you show.

I’m really not sure why my filter housing is showing a combo of antifreeze and water…haven’t seen that look in past years. Will hope for the best in next few weeks when I flush.
