No Hot Water - Now I'm in hot water with the bride
brand new Rockwood Windjammer 3006wk and the hot water heater only warms water to lukewarm temp. Water heater switch is on, bypass is open and the gas lighter works. Is there a thermostat that I can increase the temp? what am I missing?

Bypass should be closed. Also, make sure the knobs for your outside shower are turned off. If they are turned on and the button is turned off on the head, the hot and cold water will mix.

With the bypass open you are mixing cold water with hot before it even makes it to the tap.
The bypass must be closed are the others have posted.

Depending you your winterizing setup you could have either 2 or 3 valves for bypass. The valve that goes between the hot and cold lines must be closed unless you are going to winterize. In that case you need to close the other valves and open the bypass to prevent filling the WH with antifreeze. Should be just like the photo for normal hot water use.

Don't know which valve your manual is referring to - but look at the picture of the rear of the hot water tank. The middle valve must be closed. Otherwise you are letting cold water go into the tank and you are letting cold water bypass the tank which now mixes with the hot water coming out of the tank into your rig.

Don't know what "operating manual" you're talking about but it's wrong.

People come here, they ask for help, they get it and we never hear from them again.
It would be nice to know what the problem and solution were.

I can tell you that OP has resolved his issue.
It was the water heater bypass valve.
Bride is now happy camper.
