Ok I’m stumped

After replacing my anode rod I sanitized my fresh water system and all was good
Then I hooked up to city water with a regulator in line and the water kept running with all taps closed
I dumped my fresh water tank after cycling the water pump and have no water coming out of the fresh water drain
The city water is filling my black water water tank
Don’t know how this is possible
Any ideas?

Are you sure you connected to the city water connection and not the black tank flush connection?

Sounds like you may have accidently hooked the city water to your black tank flush inlet instead of the freshwater inlet.

Yes, I was connected to the black water flush inlet which is directly above the city water connection label
The city water inlet is to the right of the label and was obscured by the hose for my outdoor shower
So simple
I figured out my dumbness right after posting to the forum
Thanks for taking time to help

Someone accidentally did that at the FROG Rally in Goshen a few years ago. It wasn't pretty. We used a forklift to move him to a dump station where he could dump.

Is this the RV black tank equivalent to doing the “prep” the night before the “procedure” in the morning?

My solution to prevent accidental hookup to the wrong tank, if that is what happened here.

My wife suggested red nail polish for the black tank flush
Think I’ll do that plus green on the city water

I had a Y valve to connecting my city water and black tank flush to my city water hose. I forgot the black tank valve open when I turned on the water. A hour later I had water fall off of the roof from the tank vent.. Oh crap!!

I really like the sticker you've got on that black tank flush. It's definitely a visual clue.

Isn't 'BLUE' more universal for water ? Locators in our local area always use Blue paint and Blue flags for marking water lines.

Our black tank flush is on the opposite side of the camper. That helps keep them straight.
