Angry Old Problem, No solution

OK. I've checked and rechecked the backflow preventer on my Micro Lite 23.

Works just fine. Took it out and hooked it up to a hose and it passed it's water perfectly.

Still - NO WATER ENTERS THE BLACK TANK.

Someone once told me that the guys that deliver the rigs sometimes use the commode. If it didn't get flushed out for a long time the "sprayer" could get clogged.

So, I removed the connection at the backflow preventer and filled the line going to the tank with Downy Fabric Softener.

Guess we'll see. If it doesn't work I'll just use a wand down the dumper.

Can you blow some air pressure into the line to the tank from the back-flow valve? (30-40 psi)

Maybe there is a kink or pinch in the line. Air pressure will tell you if it is blocked without the liquid mess.

Mine was a clogged sprayer. It clogged during a trip somehow. It worked the last trip when I emptied the tanks and used the sprayer to clean it. Two weeks later it was clogged, happened fast. Not a pleasant job to fix, not difficult, just yuck!!!!!!!

Checked that. I even cut out a hole in the underbelly to see where the line enters the black tank. No kinks. Must be a clogged spray head.
Thanks

The fitting for winterizing with air is cheap.

I would hook a compressor to it and carefully raise pressure. 50-60'psi?

Mine seemed clogged, no sound of spray in tank. I did blow air through it, started working (water spray noise). Good luck

Use a wand

I've seen several posts about the sprayers not working that well. Mine doesn't have one, so I bought a wand. It can't clog, and it sprays 360 degrees manually. KISS. I'm not sure how much it helps to be honest. I use the GEO method, and generally don't dump until I get home. The water comes out clear after the wand.
