Overwhelming tank issues!
O.k. guys we are wondering about the whole maintenance issue with the holding tanks.
-Black Water tank is regularly dumped at our site using the mobile 'blue' container. We have more 'flush water' than black. We treat our tank with 'eco-friendly' liquid for each usage. On last day we stick our nozzle stick down in the toilet to clean. We do a final dump when leaving. We put a couple of bags of ice down the toilet for the ride back. Some say it is good to leave something in holding tanks. That has seemed to work fine but want to get longevity out of our new trailer.
-Grey water tank is just flush. Should probably run water through it for final rinse.
-Fresh water tank? Does the 'city' connection by pass the tank. Never have taken potable water with us? When we are breaking camp, I turn on all faucets then cut off water supply outside. We leave all faucets on until next trip. Should I drain the lowest level plug on the water system every time and what about hot water heater? Will the lines mildew or the tank currode?
Sorry for the long winded variety of questions, but we are in a bind and need you good peoples thoughts.
-Flush king, tornado, whatever else is out there? I understand some of the reverse flushing, grinder pumps, but what about having time, water, electricity to do these operations.
-Please help! Educate us on what we need and why?
