Plastic tasting water

We have a new Grey Wolf and have filled up and emptied the fresh water tank 3 times so far but the water has a plastic like taste to it. I double filter it going in but is this something that goes away in time or will we have to use some sort of filter in the trailer if we want to drink water out of the fresh water tank?

What type hose are you using to fill the tank? I hope you're using a "drinking/potable water" hose like the white ones Wal*Mart sells. If you are using a normal garden hose, your plastic taste comes from the hose.

If you're using a drinking water hose and still get the taste, you might try the bleach/water sanitizing process we use to de-winterize. A vinegar/water chaser generally removes any bleach taste.

yes exactly check the piping. PEX(Polyethylene) tubing should be a great replacement. It meets all the NSF standards for potable water applications. The only way your getting that taste is if the tubing is of poor quality or not meant for drinking.
