Plastic Repair Kit
I repaired my blue boy with this. It has held up for over a year now.

I'm a little late to the party, but my Rhino Tank developed a seam leak. I fixed by using my soldering iron with a flat tip to re-weld it. That was a couple of years ago and it still hasn't leaked.

I have ~2 weeks left on my trip and probably won't use it in the meantime. When I get home I'll try the manufacturer warranty approach first, followed by patching from the inside with Eternabond if Camco won't help me, and a plastic weld being the last resort.

Rhino Sewer Tote
I had the same thing happen to my 21 gallon tote. It was out of warranty but I contacted the service department and they replaced it for free. Try that. They were really helpful to us. We were at the lake when it happened.

The rhino company has a bad quality problem. Mine and my sons tank leaks in the exact spot of yours. I repaired mine on the outside with flex seal caulk. I did my repair a year ago and still holding up. The issue is they mold the cap area first then mold to it afterwords.

I'll have to inspect mine. I have the 28g cart as well.

I spoke to Mr. Phillips today. Because my purchase was > 3 years ago, it's past the 2 year warranty.
He told me that, because it's "virgin plastic", anything that sticks is likely to peel off within a few weeks. I'll try the plastic welding approach. It doesn't look too difficult or destructive.

Depending on the plastic used to make the tank - this will work on PE or PP
https://www.infinitybond.com/product...39363936321670
I used this to repair a leak in the fresh water tank, made of HDPE on my camper and it stopped the leak that was in a crack....so I did NOT have to purchase and install a replacement fresh water tank.

To close this out, I finally got around to repairing this in preparation for our summer trip. I bought a welding kit from Amazon which contains a variety of plastic sticks, but not HDPE. I cut a piece of stainless steel screen to cover the crack and welded it into the plastic over the crack. I then reinforced that with LDPE, believing it to be compatible with respect to sticking to it, at least. It's just patch material.
I believe this should be enough to secure and seal the crack. I'll test it with fresh water by tilting it up onto the end. The pressure on the crack in that position is pretty high. Hopefully it won't leak but if there's a drop or two, I'm okay with that.
On the advice of @robmikc, I won't tilt it upright or use that port in the future. I'll drain it out from the side valve, instead. If I pull it by the trailer hitch, it still might have some pressure on it. If I see a leak I'll keep the tank but use my macerator to fill it while in the bed of my truck, horizontal with the side valve toward the tailgate.
Materials:
mesh cut to fit:
mesh tack-welded in place:
end result kinda ugly but solid
Not shown, but I melted the mesh into the HDPE more uniformly before applying the layer of LDPE.
