Pressure when Hot water is on

Have a Sabre Palimino, 5th wheel, 2012. This year in campground, when we turn on the electric to the water heater and it gets hot, pressure is built up in the the system and leaks at the cold water pipe running into the toilet. Not sure why. Is there something we need to be doing to drain the pressure from the hot water heater when parked long term?

Is the water heater pressure relief valve working?

Turn off the water heater.

Test it by carefully (hot water is hot)flipping the stem up, does water come out does the stem move easy

Are you using a water pressure regulator?
What is the water pressure at the spigot?

The hot water lines and the cold water lines are separate before the water heater. The only common connection points are at the city water connection and the water pump. The water heater's electric element should have no more effect on water pressure than the gas water heater circuit. Unless the switch is incorrectly wired and you are actually turning on the water pump. Even then, the system should not be pressurized to the point it leaks inside. Your leak is probably nothing more than a loose connection that needs repair.
