Problem With Black Tank Flush

I have a 2015 Rockwood Windjamer with a connection for black tank rinse and when I connect up to it there is a back flow valve inside the wall and it starts leaking. They don’t have a access panel to even look at it or replace it.Anyone else had this problem?

They usually mount it under the sink in the bathroom but some members have reported them being in the wall and even in a shower wall buried under the shower surround. Use the search feature to see if you can find and threads where someone said what they did to access it.

Can you post a picture of the general location of the backflow/anti-syphon valve?

Some people have had to cut a section out of a panel top access the valve and then get some trim that matches the RV and put it back in place.

Mine started leaking as well but only when I had the water pressure too low. I had used one of the water hose spitters and when I turned off the valve on the splitter it did stop the flow but did slow it to more than a trickle. Didn’t think about it until I found water on the floor, which I chased to the back flow valve. Apparently mine needs a good amount of pressure to work properly and if pressure is too low, it leaks.

Which Windjammer model do you have? I have a 3029W. My check valve/vacuum breaker is in the bathroom sink cabinet.

Is there a washer in the connection for your hose?

I found my leaking valve behind the shower faucet handles. Didn't have much room to maneuver but was able to switch out the valve. No more leaks.

I worry about same since it seems I've heard black tank flush are prone to leak at connection....so I bought a second 90°brass fixture just for the black tank flush and used a permanent black marker to make sure the city water and black tank flush connectors don't get mixed up by putting a black band around the fixture for the black tank flush. Not sure if anyone has done this, my guess is someone has. Hope it will prevent or fix the connection leak issue.
