Problem with overflowing fresh water

Currently have 2021 Cherokee Grey Wolf 26DBH. When I arrive at my destination I go to the fill station to fill the fresh water tank. After about 15 minutes I will start to get water coming from the hose underneath so I assume the tank is full. This hose leaks the whole time I preceding to my camp site. When I get to the site itís still leaking and when I go to the control panel to check the quantity of water itís says Iím a 1/3 down already. Why is this happening?

Is it your fresh water tank drain?
Is there a small valve on the end? If so try to close it.
Just a shot in the dark...a pic might help.
BTW: Welcome to the forum from Upstate NY.

your fresh water over fill is creating a siphon and draining out the tank . you can add a valve that you will want to keep open when filling or watch to fill and stop just as it starts to dribble out . i've had this happen a couple times and just blew into the over flow line and stopped the siphon .

Mr. M. is spot on. Siphon effect. Put a plug or a valve on the overflow. Just remember to open it when filling or at your destination!.

sometimes the overfill tube is too low in the tank and will siphon out until it reaches the end of the tube.

Siphon issue

I poked a hole in the top of the overflow tube to allow air into the tube. It no longer siphons when overflow level has begun.
