Pulsating water pressure fix?

I have a 2018 Isata 5 and I'm having an issue I am hoping to fix. The water pump pumps faster than the shower head can spray, so the water 'pulsates' and the water heater is continually clicks off and on. Is there a way to regulate the water to keep a constant pressure without changing out the pump?

TYIA.

I installed a pressure tank on my system to prevent the pump from starting and stopping like that. I think my tank is a 1 or 2 gallon tank been so long I can't remember. It will solve the problem. JMHO

Add a pressure tank

I added a pressure tank on the output side of the pump. Problem solved. I think it is a 1 gallon capacity. It came precharged but I had to adjust the air pressure a bit to match the pump pressure.

Sometimes all that is needed is to adjust the pressure switch on your water pump if so equipped.
Here is a decent article on it: https://www.thervgeeks.com/rv-water-...ter-pump-pulse

While some folks always install an accumulator tank in an RV I have never seen the need in any of my RVs. But whatever works for you.
But I do usually upgrade my water pump to a higher gpm and pressure model. And then ensure it is set correctly for us.

Shortly after we purchased our current trailer, I saw SeaDog's post on installing a pressure tank and have installed the same tank. It is a 2 gallon tank. You can install anywhere in your RV where you have access to the plumbing and sufficient room for the tank, it does not need to be right next to the pump. Best to connect to a cold water pipe.

As I recall, SeaDog installed his tank horizontally, mine is vertical.

I like the 2 gallon tank, it provides more than enough water to handle a number of toilet flushes at night without requiring the pump to cycle, good for us because our pump is located directly under the head of our bed. The tank in the previous link only holds a couple of cups of water, so would cycle more often.

Here is a link to the unit I installed, though other manufacturers provide similar units. In-Line Pre-charged Well Tanks | Water Worker

I installed this accumulator from Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I installed it on a wall above the water pump which basically eliminated the pulsating.

I would have considered the WaterWorks 2 gallon tank if I had known about it. Other than figuring out how to best to secure it, it would definitely would have done a good job.

OP - Good luck and be safe -
