Pump won't stop running but won't pump water

My pump kept running on my Flagstaff Ulra Lite but it wasn't pumping water. I checked the pump and all the valves and everything seemed fine. While messing with it it kicked on and started to pump water. Later during our trip it went out again. Pump made noise but wouldn't pump. Any ideas whats going on?

It could be a bad pump but it is probably from sucking air on the inlet side.

Lose hose, lose strainer, low/no water in the tank. It doesn't take much of a leak on the inlet side.
