R-pod black tank
Hello,
Purchased a 2018 r-pod 178 from a private party last summer. Trailer is in great shape over all so we took it out for a weekend as soon as we got it licensed. During the 3 hour drive I stopped a couple times and did a walk around and everything was good. Made it to the campsite and as I was setting up noticed the black tank dump valve and pipes had fallen off. Unhooked the truck and backtracked but never found them. When we got back to town I did a quick Google and found out about the problematic hanger strap.
Now here’s my issue. I have been trying to get a replacement reducer from the tank to the plumbing through Forest River. I’ve given them make, model, VIN, and pictures of what’s missing. Dozens of emails and phone calls with their parts department. Three times they have sent me the valve assembly, and it’s not even the correct valve. The 178 is a single tank valve and they’ve sent me 3 dual tank valves when all I want is the tank to pipe reducer.
I got tired of dealing with this so let it go over the winter. Wanting to get it fixed now so looking for some help in either places to get the correct part or a DYI Home Depot fix if anyone knows. This time the hanger will be re-engineered.
