Roo water filter

I have a 2017 Roo 233s. I just finished sanitizing the system. Now it is time to put in the water filter. I can't get the housing off though. How easy should it turn? Is there a secret to getting it off?

Make sure you relieve the water pressure by opening a faucet.

No, I wasn't. Is it in the drawer with the filter?

That was where they threw everything like the toilet paper holder, the paper towel holder and other miscellaneous stuff.

it does not turn easily, and needs the tool to get off and make an effective seal when putting back on...

however many, including myself have taken the filter out of the system and just hooked the inlet and outlet lines together... as these filters have been prone to failure... they break and water goes all over

then the filter is usually in a hidden place where water damage can go unseen for some time

opt for an outside filter that hooks to the water inlet like this

What do you do when there isn't water hook up and you have to use your tank?

You probably will fill the tank with filtered water, either from a potable water source or home. You can always use the external filter on a hose to fill your tanks. Besides, most only use tank water for flushing or washing... use bottled water for drinking.
