I understand that all those macerator pumps, flo-jet thingy's will help empty the tanks although I am wondering if they will pump efficiently for that ninety-two (92') run that I will have. Now--read post #5 where I stated that I will also be tying in a sink that is currently in my shop to this lift station. When I built my shop back in 1996 I put in twenty-foot (20') of drain tile set in three foot wide by three foot deep trench lined with a "root barrier" then #52 gravel was put in, more root barrier across the top then fill dirt. This plan was given to me by the local county planning office and should have lasted longer than I would live. For some reason this drain is now somewhat, mostly, almost, stopped up. The lift station will be utilized for two purposes, the shop sink and the RV dump. As far as the cost-about $500 total including all PVC piping to the sewer line coming from the house. This is for a "Little Giant commercial" thirty-gallon in-ground fiberglass tank, a "sewerage" rated 220v pump which will handle 1/2" solids, a float switch, and a back-flow prevention valve. We had these where I used to be employed before retiring. We used this brand, and model, at various locations in the plant and they performed very well. My goal is to bring the unit home, wash the tanks out really well, place about five-gallons of water and a "green friendly" bactericide in them while they sit until the next trip. IF I had MY way--the unit would stay on the road, but the boss-lady has a job so we have to come home way too often.
