Sanitizing with Nautilus P4 system

I have a FR Superlite 526rk 5th wheel with the rear kitchen. When sanitizing the plumbing system the water heater is bypassed according to the instructions. In looking at the plumbing diagram for the Nautilus system this would mean the cold water line input would not be sanitized. In my case the hot water heater is in the rear of the trailer so about 20 feet of water line would not be sanitized. The hot water tank has a check valve on the hot water line to keep water going into the tank during sanitizing operation. Question is should I worry about that cold water line or is it not an issue?

You could always open the cold water supply bypass valve (red I believe) to the water heater tank for a few seconds and allow some sanitized water to get to the water heater tank or better yet, fill the water heater tank and sanitize it too. No harm in that!

Just leave the water heater online. Sanitize it to. When you do the flush, just drain the water heater - no different than the fresh water tank you are sanitizing.

I have the same unit and with the tank bypassed all the hot and cold line should sanitize just like when y ok winterize. The only part no on line is a foot of pipe into and out if the tank and the tank it's self.

If the OP's water heater tank is aluminum, I wouldn't recommend it. I've ruined a couple of aluminum vacuum bottles with bleach. It doesn't happen instantly, but if you leave the solution in place overnight, corrosion (formation of Aluminum Chloride salt) WILL occur.

The suggestion that's been made to bypass the water heater while sanitizing is prudent.

If it was important to bypass the water heater during sanitizing, you would think that Forest River would mention it in their user manual for Fifth Wheels, but they don't:

In addition,
https://johnmarucci.com/2022/04/06/r...r-heater-tank/

Also, Suburban recommends eliminating odors using chlorine, including sanitizing their water heaters:

It is true, though, that Atwood recommends using white vinegar:

Notice the ratio of White Vinegar required, for six gallon water heater it is 4 gallons White Vinegar with 2 gallons of water.

C'mon, Commander, be serious. You are responding with irrelevant or non-credible sources.

Hundreds of posts from newbies on this entire site complain about the lack of accuracy and detail in the generic Forest River User Manuals. You can't credibly cite them as reliable sources.

Of course they do. Suburban tanks are porcelainized steel, not aluminum. Completely irrelevant! By the way, that's why Suburban tanks (porcelainized steel) have sacrificial anodes and Atwood/Dometic tanks (aluminum) do not. And why Atwood (aluminum tanks) recommends vinegar.

I do appreciate your including the Atwood information which proves my point.
