Sediment in Fresh Water Tank- Rockwood Roo 183

I have sediment in the bottom of my Freshwater tank (on a Rockwood Roo 183). See Photo
I can drain the tank, but there is always a dark-colored sediment in the bottom of it left over.
I was told by a local RV repair guy, that they can removed the tank, turn it upside down, to completely empty it, and then re-install it. It is a half day job for about $500.
The dealer, I purchased it from, said to partially and fill and drain it a few times to get everything out. I have done that several times, but I still have a lot of sediment in the bottom of the fresh water tank.
Does anyone know of a good way to completely empty the tank without having to disassemble it from the camper?

thanks

I agree!

Your tank has a definite sump area.
The sediment should flush to that area simply by adding/filling and emptying with the drain several times.

If the sediment is caked to the bottom of the tank, then you are going to have to remove the tank to allow access via the filler neck with a broom handle or stick of some sort.

$500??
On that unit, removing the tank is about an hours worth of work.
That is robbery!
