Sewer discharge handles

With all the threads concerning the cable controls, I decided to open the belly and see how mine were connected. I slit the plastic cardboard like an "H" about 16" along the sewer line by the tank connection and then slit it about 4" perpendicular to both ends of both the 16" slit and folded them back. Lo and behold, no cables, they are both direct connected alum rods to the valves. To close the "H" slit, I used a 2" striip of 0.030" alum about 20" long and inserted it above the slit and sheet metal screwed the flaps to the alum strip. Then used waterproof awning tape to cover the slits. At least I have and access hole in case something comes loose or breaks. Don't quite understand why they put the tank outlet on the passenger side of the tank when the discharge end is on the drivers side and then run a sewer line across the trailer to the dump.

Now be nice, I know one personally. I don't think FR employs real engineers, just some "wannabes".

Most engineers are schemers and dreamers not make it work type people. Can't say enough for college trained engineers, they can't even operate a train.

Bet I can! Worked on the RR before college and can even run the engine.
