I tried to use a screwdriver to pop it over but it simply pops out the other side. Just a big too snug.
I wonder about just getting something like a rhinoflex including fittings, but I've read different reports as to whether it will store inside the bumper.

Did you soak it in hot water first.Mirco some water then soak the hose about a minute then try it

The problem was solved. See this:

It was designed for the rotating clamp with the yellow handle but the store was out. So I used the one from my existing setup along with the ordinary screw type clamp and it all worked fine.
Now, IWriteCode, I expect you're right -- a lot more patience with a bit of swearing thrown in might have done the trick. But much easier with one that fit.
And, Shadows4, I hadn't heard of Blueline before, so I may check them out for the future. How do they work differently? What's their advantage?
So, job now done while there's still sunshine and weather that's a mite warmer!

In order to get the hose over the fitting, boil some water in a pan, hold the end of the hose in the boiling water for a couple minutes.
This will soften the plastic and let it expand enough to get over the fitting.
When it cools it will shrink back.

I did the same thing. Bought a Camco and it was to small if a fitting. Had to purchase a different brand off Amazon.

Nothing to skimp on
For several years I bought cheap and then mid-grade hoses. After a failure with each one I bit the bullet and bought a Viper. Very durable and worth the $$.

Not sure about valterra, but apparently rhino has the opposite twist to the pipe. Rhino fitting will not twist on to camco pipe.

I stopped storing the hose inside the rear bumper. The rear bumper rusts inside from moisture and when inserting or removing hose I found it puts pin holes in the sewer hose. I store my sewer hoses in clear plastic totes (so I can see what's inside) and haven't had any pinholes since doing so 2 yrs ago.

Pinholes in the old hose was my original problem. I like your idea, but I find that while I have a fair amount of storage space, most of what I store has to be accessible, and I run out of room putting things where I can get to them. It's a pass-through storage, so I'm wondering if anyone has an easy way of getting to stuff in the middle. That would allow me to keep the tote where I can get to it.
I hope going on a slight tangent (somewhat related) with this thread is OK since I started it. If not, somebody tell me.

Sewer hose replacement
Don’t waste your time/$ on any rv store sewer hose! Buy the end fittings at Walmart or Amazon then go to an industrial hose/tubing supply house and buy industrial-grade corrugated hose. They will cut it to the length you want. Put on the end fittings with large hose clamps (buy the stainless steel, heavy-duty clamps) and you will never need another one. I carry two...one is 10’ long, the other is 18’ long. The short one is for use at dump stations; the longer one is for rv parks where the shorter hose is inadequate. Rv store hose/fittings are just cheap trash.

We bought our motorhome 2 1/2 years ago and have tried a few different hoses and they all have their good and bad points. We are full time so we go through things faster but I've never experienced problems with the fittings. As for the pinholes, I tried covering them with silicone sealant and it works pretty good. Good luck.

Yeah, the OP's problem has gotten me a couple of times too. Based on his picture, the blue hose looks like the same cheap hose (no offense to the OP) my RV dealer supplies with purchase as part of their "total package road-ready". Dish soap worked for me after a few choice words, but I like the blow dryer solution best. After my struggles with the POS, it lasted about two dumps before a mess of pinholes popped up. I trashed it and went back to my stand by RhinoFlex.
