We use the sewer solution. The first year we had our trailer ( its our first trailer, so we were learning "our" way), we used the traditional "slinky" hose. After staying at a campground where the sewer pipes were 8" off the ground, and uphill from the trailer, I needed to figure something out. When you are going downhill gravity makes the slinky great. When you are going uphill, you have to walk back and forth lifting the slinky and walking the "high point" toward the sewer hole. Anyways, back to the sewer solution.
We have been using it for 2 and a half years now, bought the 25' extension as well (I would recommend that). Havent had a single issue yet with it. Great product. And the end that attached to your trailer is clear plastic to help you know when you have it "clean". And we have used it at the campground mentioned above on multiple occasions with no problem.
When we get set up at a camp ground, we hook up the sewer solution as part of set up, and then open the gray water drain, so we never have to worry about hat overfilling if its an extended stay (but keep the black closed unless you are dumping). The product is pretty straight forward, and there are youtube videos as well. Id call it pricey, but that is subjective, but overall its worth every penny.
