I think you need to be careful using a hair remover. If yours has a Hepvo waste valve you could catch the inside lining and tear it. I could be wrong and I'm sure someone will say so if I am.

There is a studder or island vent under my kitchen sink that vents the gray tank. They tend to not close or not open a lot because they use a really cheap one. If it doesn't work right, you either smell it or have slow drains because the air has nowhere to go. Look for yours and take it off and go to home depot. I say take it off because the ones depot have will probably be larger and you will have to buy correct size adapters. The Camco is junk they use. The other is much better.
