Thanks all. Tank has chemicals and I’ve been filling and will dump tomorrow. Thanks for all the input and for all the education. Someone needs to open a New RV owner boot camp

I use the Rid-X method for the black tank. Seems to work fine since when I dump I add ten gallons of water, dump and then add another 10 gallons. When I dump that second ten gallons the discharged water is always clean and completely clear.

I gave up on tank sensors years ago and just use a calendar. Four days and it’s time to dump the gray tank. Seven days and it’s time to dump the black tank. The calendar never gets contaminated so it’s always spot on accurate.
