Suburban 10 gallon Replacement Tank????

My First Post! Long story short, my Fiance and I just moved from Indiana to New Orleans three weeks ago for school. We decided to live in a travel trailer to help with housing expenses. (we are rookies to the RV lifestyle) Needless to say, it has been one problem (I mean adventure!) after another. Our water heater started leaking last week. We pulled it out and the tank was corroded through. After trying different fixes, the tank needs replaced. I have searched and searched and searched and can not find a replacement tank for a 10 gallon suburban water heater anywhere. Would anyone know where we might be able to get one? Money is tight and we are trying to avoid replacing the entire unit. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!!!

I don't know for a good way to just replace or repair the tank? Maybe others will jump in with some tips??

A tankless water heaters could be an alternitive? they can run from $268 to $500.

EccoTemp FVI12-NG 3.4 GPM Natural Gas Indoor Forced Vent Tankless Water Heater - Eccotemp FV112-NG - Water Heaters - Camping World

A total replacement could cost $525 for a Suburban 10 Gallon LP/Pilot/Electric Water Heater

Suburban Water Heaters - Product - Camping World

Previous owner must never replaced the Anode Rod $20

Sorry, That's the best I can do.

I don't think you'll just find a tank.
Bite the bullet and buy a complete unit.

Hi, I just had almost the same problem. Previous owner put a boat plug instead of an anode into the heater. Rusted thru the walls. I looked everywhere (in Canada and US) for a place that just sold the tank, but the closest I got was one of the U-Pick type places where you take it from a used RV.

Unfortunately the only solution was to buy a new tank.

I replaced an Atwood tank years ago. I note tonight some Atwood tank only are still for sale. Suburban does not offer replacement tanks. Good news is Suburban heaters are around the web for only 30% more than an Atwood tank and a lot less labor to install.
