Suburban Hot Water SW6DE

I have been having trouble with my 2001 Keystone water heater. I would get a good flow of hot water from the pop-off valve and the burners would seem to stay on. I replaced the pop-off valve and because of it's age I also replaced the 120v Hi-Limit switch and the 12v switch also. I also replaced the heating element as well. Now it heats well on city power but having problems lighting my hot water heater with propane. Power light on and I will hear a single click at heater but it won't light. I manually lite it when it clicks with a propane lighter and it lights but goes out quickly. Will not get gas until you hear the click but goes out in seconds. I took the burner apart and cleaned the igniter and gas tube and blew the dust out. Still the same. Seems to be two problems- 1- the igniter should have several clicks and 2- no gas flow. Propane tank is ¾ full.

OK, shut things down and let it sit for a few minutes and tried to lite it again. I could hear the gas solenoid open but would not lite. Turned the power switch off and back on and it cycled a couple time and lite but only with the main door closed. Must have been getting a draft keeping the gas from entering the tube to the burn chamber. Seems to work as it should and shuts down when water reaches temperature. No more pop-off valve leaks but will test it this week end on a camping trip with my grand kids.

Went camping this last week end and it would not lite again. I was hooked to power and used the electric mode.
