sure makes trouble shooting the CB a little easier. thanks
The wall switch just turns the propane burner on and off. The tank will still heat off the electric heater if it is on shore power and the rocker switch in the water heater is set to on.

Glad you found the source. It stinks that makers go so cheap on these
things! HWH should not be on the converter circuit IMO but there you go.

It's possible they ran the wires for the HWH outlet back to the power center
and put both the converter AC input on the same breaker as the HWH
right there at the breaker.
If that's the case it's an easy fix to add another circuit breaker.
Assuming you have a spare slot in your breaker panel that is.....
Mine are simple plug in breakers and available at most any home center
or well stocked hardware store.
Maybe yours are the same.

Good luck!

I am going to get a power strip with an on/off switch and plug my water heater into it.
this will give me the kill switch I need, and a couple more outlets in my kitchen.
Thanks all for your advise.

power strip works great! have it labeled "For water heater only ."
just pop cabinet open and hit the switch.
Also labeled a reminder "assure tank is full before activation".
Thanks to all for your imput.
