Tankless hot water heater

I have a 2018 Cedar Creek 5th wheel. I can get the the hot water heater to come in when I am using the fresh water tank with the pump. Works if connected to city water. I have turned the water valves in the coach every way I can think of. Any suggestions?

Are you trying to say you CAN'T get the water heater to come on? Are you getting any water at all through the hot faucet?

Is this a typo?
I don't see a problem as you described.

I am GUESSING that the OP's _tankless_ water heater works on city water but not from the pump. Many of these heaters need a certain amount of flow to trigger the flow sensor and turn on the heat.

How does water flow in the sink or shower compare when using city water or pump? If the pump flow is significantly lower, check the filter and pump connections to make sure no air is being drawn into the system.

The pump flow is much better than the city flow. That’s why it’s so confusing. I do know there has to be certain pressure to turn water heater on. That’s why I thought maybe it was a valve in the manifold was not turned right. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem.

Which model water heater is it, and does it do anything when you turn on a hot water spigot. Like click, exhaust blower start then then turn off, etc?
Have you found the owners manual and tried the diagnostics? For my Girard I have called the Girard tech number several times with good results.
