Thetford Aqua Magic V Foot petal flush BROKE!

Was flushing same as usual when this loud BANG! sound occurred and the fill part of the flusher fell to the floor and just stayed there! The part of the flusher that opens the valve still works (thank God!) What am I supposed to do now?

Thanks, in advance, for your help. FRF is always the place to go!

Sylvia

Nevermind...you did say Thetford!

Of course you can flush the toilet with a bucket of water in the meantime.

I can still flush with the regular flushing water that flows when the valve is opened. I just can't refill the bowl afterward. But I think I'll give your suggestion a look and a try; how different can these things be?

Thanks for the response!

There are little cables to each pedal, but they seem tight enough. I will have to remove the whole toilet to see what is behind the casing. Since it still flushes, guess that will be a thing for a later date...
