Red face Toilet in new SunSeeker won’t hold water

The water drains to empty overnight and even a couple of hours after a flush it’s barely holding water. It’s about a year old. I’m not very handy but what should I do?

The seal on the flap is leaking. You can try cleaning it real good and then lubricate it with some silicone gel. That always helped mine.

Phipps covered it pretty well, but you could mention make and model of the toilet to your question.

I had trouble with ours and used hot water to reform it. I poured some in and when it cooled flushed and put more in. Sealed like a champ.

Turn water off and put plumbers grease on bottom of seal...might want to wear gloves. Been doing it for years
