Toilet leak

After opening my camper for the season l hooked up the water to check for issues. Water heater is good. Faucets are good.but there is a leak when you push the toilet pedal down. It's coming from the plastic fitting that the water line hooks to. Can that pedal be removed to see what the problem is. There is an small rectangular opening on the top and bottom of the handle and the water is leaking from the bottom opening.

Bill, you need to post make and model number of toilet. And then put year, make and model number of RV in your profile or signature so we don't have to keep asking.

Sorry it's a 2019 Rockwood 2509S . The toilet is a Dometic. I don't see a model # anywhere.

That plastic fitting is the toilet valve & is prone to failure from freezing if not properly winterized.

Did replace the plastic valve with the OEM part from Amazon. Leak is gone.

Excellent news. Thanks for coming back to close off this thread for anyone else that may have the same problem…….that’s what this forum is for.

As mentioned, see where the green banner is up near the top of this page?
Click on “User CP”.
Scan down to where it says “Edit Signature”
Click on it.

There, you can enter year, make and model of your rig so people at least have an idea of what you have, instead of asking……just like myself and lots of others.
It’s not the cure all when discussing all your appliances or accessories, but it’s a start.
