I always travel with the last couple days black stuff in the tank and dump just before going into storage or in a full service site. That 600 miles of sloshing seems to do the job. Never had a clog.

Over the years I’ve found that if you drop a couple M80 firecrackers in the black tank it really helps break things up. 🤣🤣🤣😂

In all our camping years, we've only ever lost one roof vent cap when doing this!

I will take advantage of the RV park's hookup to drain and flush the tank before I leave, but will add some water if need be to the tank for the drive home to slosh out the crud in the tank while rolling.

However, I'm very thorough when I flush the tanks, so rarely ever have to do this.

Thanks RacerRalph,,,
Now I am going to think about that every time I set on the throne !!!

It took me years to get over a snake slithering into the bathroom in our old Farm House when I was a kid !!!
Told my Mother I was never again using that bathroom !!!

My vent stack must have been plugged the last time I tried this. I'll just say I didn't loose the vent cap.
