Toilet replacement

One of the Grandkids broke the flush pedal off my Dometic 300. I decided to replace it with the Dometic 310 which I ordered. When I tried to install it yesterday it would not fit since there was not enough clearance on the back. It would not line up over the hole as it hit the wall behind it. Are there different models of the 310 or am I going to have to just get another 300?

320 toilet modification

When I wanted to replace my Dometic 300 with a Dometic 320 I ran into the same issue. However, the wall behind the toilet was just a panel between the interior and an outside storage area on the 2304KS. I was able to remove the panel and 'frame out' the area an extra inch into the storage area to get the 320 to fit.

Good luck with your install.

Installing new toilet

I was able to slip a 320 toilet forward of the center of the sewer hole by 1/2"
to get a good fit and seal.

Good luck.

Has anyone checked to see if a different brand has a china toilet that would fit the 300 specs? Are the Dometic toilets superior to the Thetford ones?

Checked the wall clearance. My 300 outlet rear edge is 5 1/2 inches from the rear. The 310 is 7 1/2. My 300 sits against the wall so I need 2 inches additional space.

Seems the only choices I have are the Dometic 300 and the Thetford Aqua Magic with the front pedal. Anyone have any suggestions as to which would be best.

We had a Thetford Aqua Magic V toilet.....all plastic. Worked perfectly for 8 years. Is the Thetford 300 plastic too?

The kids bought Mom the Dometic 301 for Mother’s Day and I got stuck installing it. Mom wanted a porcelain toilet. The waterline attachment connector was on the opposite side than the Thetford and I had to add line and install an in-line shut off tap.

It was extremely tight fit to back wall, but it’s in, and Mom’s happy.

Both plastic. Really wanted the porcelain 310 but not enough to cut a hole in the wall behind the toilet.
