Should work just fine then.

Larry- I’m just using domestic’s install guide. Says 8.5 for the 300 and 10 needed for the 310

checkout the sticky on the Dometic 300. You are saving yourself a lot of aggravation down the road.

Wow! Switch to the 300 if you want real trouble!

I originally had the Dometic 300. Dometic sent me a replacement model 300 that had the same odor issue as the previous model 300. Dometic eventually sent me the model 310 which is a perfect fit for my Rockwood Ultra Lite 2019. I don’t know what your problem is but if you let us know maybe we can help. I agree with the others who swear by not at the model 310.

Call Dometic before buying from Amazon, and tell them that it stinks like sewage all the time. If it doesn't stink yet, it will soon enough. They should sell you a 310 for a low price. Replacement is dead simple, but you do need that extra couple of inches behind it.

Dometic was great with my replacement

I see you have the model 300. I am in my 70’s and was able to replace the 300 with the 310. If you’re handy it’s easy. I believe there’s even a video on YouTube.
Dometic was very responsive when I contacted them and sent the replacement quickly. Remember you get more bees with honey rather than vinegar.

Replacing 300 with 320.

I replaced my Dometic 300 with a 320 and found a easy solution to make room for the size difference. Lowes has an offset toilet floor flange that works excellent. Very happy with the change.

Probably didn't experience the stink yet of a leak between bowl and pedestal of the 300, takes a while to fester. Wise to get rid of it before it happens. The 300 lasted barely past warranty when it crapped out (pun intended ). I replaced with the 310, couldn't be happier with the difference. May use a bit more water though. The 2 jets of the 300 vs the under rim holes, like a residential toilet on the 310. It should fit ,though measure for sure. I'll post some photos of measurements if I can find them.

My 2015 Georgetown came with 2 Model 300 dometics and they both worked flawlessly for over 6 years of continuous, full time family of 5 use. Eventually the foot pedal broke on each with in a few months of each other and I replaced both with the 310 Dometic. Both of the 310 Dometics need to replaced after only 1 year of use. Both had the same problems, just separated by a couple months and both just beyond the 1 year warranty.

Seal on hinges ruptured, leaking the thick gray goo everywhere and disabling the "soft close" feature.
Foot pedal leaks.
Seat hinges busted completely, leaving the seat to fall off if not careful.
Seat discolored and flaking.

I'm looking to replace both of mine with the new LCI toilet if it will fit, the LCI toilet is a little larger.

Seat

Has anyone found a better "seat" for the 310?

I tried a few years ago and I bought something that didn't work.

I HATE all the ridges in the back of the seat. Current one is terrible to keep clean.

I recently replaced our 300 with a 320. I did the measurements first to make sure it would fit in the space, and it did with a couple inches left over. It was really quite simple to switch out the two toilets. For either the 310 or the 320, I found some YouTube videos that helped ensure that I knew what to do. And, as I said, it was easy and the seat is MUCH more comfortable. But measuring first will be the key.

I wanted the 320, but after checking measurements it would not work. I did not want to fool around with an offset flange.

After getting home and then getting sick (still am some) I got the new 310 installed with no issues. I was shocked with how cheap the plastic 300 model was. It will go into the attic for a spare if necessary.

Having replaced our original 300 with a 310, we are very pleased with the ease of installation and functionality.

As to the 300, I would not bother to store it in the attic. I tossed ours in the trash where it and all 300's belong.

I changed mine to a 321 which is elongated and "standard" height.
It was too big by 1/4".
I had to cut the pipe in the basement and shorten it so the flange would be farther away from the wall.
I couldn't believe that 1/4"! made it into a half a day job instead of 10 minutes.

I would have loved to have the elongated version, but it would not fit. My toilet backs up to an outside wall, so I could not modify it. I read that an offset flange could work, but I did not want to take the chance.

300 in the trash. Amen.
