Toilet tank chemicals

Ok so after too much reading on the internet. Trying to decide what black tank treatment I want to use, and having tried many. I last week I had three types on hand. Teck tank rx. Happy camper. And Camper cem.
I filled three cups with each I put one price of regular toilet paper and one price of dog feces. 3 days later I Shook the cups, to represent either movement going down road. Or black tank flush action. Today 6 days later I dumped them the last picture will show the contents.
Closing. They all break down. Water and flushing are the best actions one can take.
As far as odors. I've never had any with any type of chemical I've used. But I'm big on a good black tank full and dump twice or more typically. Usually at home so not to back up dump station time.
I took a video of all of this however it's to large to upload sorry.
Just wanted to see if there were any thoughts.

My black tank chemical for 4 years and never a problem, WATER and a good flushing before leaving our last stop before home. And leave a couple gallons in the tank to maintain moisture levels.

From FROG Rally. 40oz pinesol, 8 oz calgon liquid/or walmart brand in 1 gallon jug. Then top with water. To make 1 gallon. Pour into tank.

What we did/are doing

When we owned a houseboat with two 90 gallon holding tanks (both black as the grey water drops back into the lake). We originally used formaldehyde based chemicals but on a hot week (over 100F) you were adding chemical every day to keep the odors down. We switched to an enzyme based toilet treatment and the odors went away. These tanks are pumped, not dumped so if it isn't liquid, it isn't coming out.

In our TT we are using TST green stuff that uses Calcium Nitrate and some surfactant and fragrances now. It smells nice. However, our camping is for 1-3 days with a week between so the tank never gets full (we fill before dumping) and it sits empty and treated between trips.

We will try the Calgon, soap, etc method at some time. Another note is if you switch from the Formaldehyde to something else it might take a couple of quick flushes to "convert".

Most of those chemicals stink worse than the odor they are trying to cover up..if there is any odor..... I use only water and plenty of it. every 4 days or so I dump and flush. Never had a problem and I'm not pumping a bunch of sometimes hazardous chemicals into the environment.
