Toilet upgrade for 2020 Freelander 27QB

Hi all! I have a 2020 Freelander 27QB and am having problems with the cheap plastic toilet that it came with. I asked our RV shop (which is WAY over-priced) about upgrading the toilet to a porcelain model with sprayer and they said that they would have to charge us at least an extra hour of labor because they would have to modify the platform that the toilet sits on AND modify the plumbing connection. Now, I have taken this toilet out, completely taken it apart, rebuilt it, and put it back in, so I know that I could replace the toilet myself. However, I also think that I should be able to find a model that does NOT require me to modify anything.

Are there any 2020 27QB owners here whom have replaced their toilet and can suggest a model that will fit without these modifications? I contacted Dometic and they were not very helpful.

I wanted to make the same change in my Vibe 21BH which came with a Dometic 300 toilet. The problem I ran into was the 'rough in' spec for the toilets, in particular the distance from the flange bolt to the wall. The 300 requires 8.5 inches. The only porcelain bowl toilet I could find that was close was a Thetford Aqua Magic Style II which requires 9.5 inch 'rough in'. So you need to measure your distance between the flange bolt and the back wall so you know how much distance you have to work with.

Note: you didn't indicate what toilet you currently have, if it's a Dometic, their water lines are low in the back, most others (ex. Thetfords) the water connection is higher so you'd probably have to modify your existing water feed line. I'm pretty sure Thetford makes a kit to lengthen the water line.

I also had issues with the toilet, I ended up replacing it with a solid material unit, I did need to make a cut in the board behind the toilet to allow the back side to seat correctly, and to make room for the plumbing connections, but with a jig saw, it was quick work, and love the new toilet. The old one was really bad, kept leaking liquid into the hollow part of the toilet and made me think we had a black tank leak it stank so badly.
