wastegate

I'm thinking of putting a waste gate valve on the end of my sewer pipe. Seems like now, I get a little seepage when I take the cap off to hook the hose up. I've seen, and bought a twist-on style, but have not travelled with it, (twisted on, not sure if I want to) plus is sticks out a little further then stock.
So I thought about cutting off the reducer, the one with the tabs, that hold the hose/cap on, and gluing on a new coupler or reducer to be able tp glue on the gate valve, gate valve is 3" ID. I measure the OD of the pipe that I want to glue the coupler on, and got 3.5's I can't seem to find a 3.5", see 4", or 3". Has anyone did a similar thing that I want to do? Thanks

If someone has, maybe guild me to where you got the parts.

I added mine right on the end. It does stick out but not much. I did need to strengthen the support due to the added weight.

Did you glue it, or is it a twist on?

I use a twist on, but I put a hose clamp around the ears to ensure it doesn't twist off during travel. It doesn't stick out enough to be a concern.

If you're really intent on gluing one on, you could buy a glue on valve and then buy a twist on adapter and glue into the outside cuff.
