Water Accumulator usage

I searched and couldn't find much on water accumulators beyond use with the onboard fresh water tank & water pump when boondogging. We don't dry camp and we travel a lot. Sometimes we get a lot of sand or other sediments in the water. In the past, that has clogged the toilet valve and sink valves. So I want to use a smaller micron water filter to catch the sediment. I think that will cut down on my water flow & give me inconsistent/pulsing pressure.

So my question. What if I used a 2 gallon water accumulator after my water filter to keep the water pressure up in the RV?

My water filter sits outside and I'm thinking about putting the accumulator right beside it on the ground. Then I would just stow the empty accumulator when we travel.

Thoughts?

Can you not mount it permanently?
Sounds like a lot of work connecting and disconnecting and lugging around.

I could mount it or lug it as you say. But either way, I'm not sure if it will give me sustained good pressure on the city water line. I suspect it would work fine though.

I'm always playing with the water to improve our flow & pressure.

I have no idea about the accumulator. BUT, on a different water pressure vein... what kind of water pressure regulator are you using?

I use a Valterra adjustable regulator set on 45 psi.
