Water coming from under base of toilet

I brought a 2018 puma 31RQLS and I’m new to RVing. Yesterday I seen water coming from around base of toilet. It seems worse when shower is on but not sure about that. I assume it’s the seal under my 300 series dometic toilet but is there a chance that the water valve is leaking and getting under toilet?
Not sure what to think problem is. I’m gonna try to get a seal tomorrow and lift toilet and hope that fixes it. But worried it won’t. Any ideas? Thanks in advance

It is quite possible that the valve behind the toilet is cracked. They do that, which is why you can easily buy replacements online. Before buying anything for the toilet I would thoroughly clean and dry the area around the toilet. Then flush the toilet over and over until you can determine where the water is coming from.

Good luck with your repair!

That water inlet valve can fool you. Especially the way it can crack.
It's not a bad idea to check the bottom seal as you're planning to, but I'd also buy a water valve just in case.

That was my thought

If the dealer has the valve I was going to get it as well. And the tubing I can’t make a crimp on the tubing I don’t have the tool. Can one use a old school hose clamp on them?

Yeah, you can use screw clamps just be sure to get one as close to the right size as possible.

Since you own an RV and are going to need to work on it from time to time, it may not a bad idea to get a crimper and a few rings.

About the shower. You said, it seems worse when the shower is on. Are you sure ite no the shower drain or the shower hot/cold valves?

Have you dried it up and only run the shower?

Had the same problem on the inlet valve. It wasn’t cracked, but loose. I have the Dometic model 310 toilet and the tightening instructions state, “connect water supply line and torque to 30-40 inch lbs. Do not overtighten”. I tightened it as tight using my fingers and then took approx 1/16” or so with pliers. No leaks.

Got parts

The dealer I got the valve and the toilet seal bottom and I got the inner seal. He suggested the same as most of y’all go after the valve first if I do all 3 at once I’ll not know what was broke so gonna do valve first. I’ll post what happens 🤞🏻

My luck holds. Lol. The dealer gave me the incorrect flange seal got to try again tomorrow. Replaced valve did not fix problem but wasn’t as big of a job as I was worried it would be

Maintaining a TT requires a few handyman skills, the right tools, and a sense of humor. It appears you have all three! Maybe tape the extra toilet valve to the back of the toilet as a message to the poop gods to not even think about it...

Thanks so much for the followup. You would be amazed at how many people get their answer and poof they are gone.

Thanks again.
