do you take off your brass water elbow or leave it on ?

Off the camper or the hose??? I leave mine on one end of my hose and the pressure regulator on the other end.

Off the camper and hose, reattach each time. Don't want it sticking out even though it's not that much, it's enough to cause a problem (according to Murphy)

I leave 2 on all the time... 1 city water, 1 black tank flush. As you see, mine are behind a door with a lock.
