Water Heater Bypass

Just prepping for my first outing in my Puma Palomino. I have dewinterized and reset the bypass valves. This unit only seems two have two valves - one at cold, one at hot. The videos I’ve seen show a third valve but my system doesn’t have the third one. Is that normal or am I missing something?

It's normal. You have three-way valves at the hot water outlet and cold water inlets. The systems with three valves have only two-way valves (on/off). The three-way valves direct the water flow either into/out of the water heater or into/out of the bypass line connected between them. The two-way valves don't redirect flow, they are only on or off.

welcome to the forum its a great place to get your questions answered. the youtube videos are great learning tools. regardless of the number of valves the concept is the same align the valves with the direction of flow you want and you will be fine.
