Water heater capacity
I have a 2021 Flagstaff Microlite and we’re new to trailering. I was told my water heater capacity is 7.5 gallons. If I’m connected to park water will the water heater replenish to give use continued hot water?

Can you post the make/model of the water heater?
Most tank water heaters in a R/V are either 6 gallon or 10 gallon.
Tankless water heaters are just that, no tank but provide endless amounts of hot water.
A tank water heater (depending on model) is capable of running off propane AND 120v if so equipped. It won't supply endless hot water but using both sources of heating (again, if so equipped) will do pretty well in recovering the used hot water from the tank.
I see you are USMC. (thanks by the way)... you may want to learn what a 'Navy shower' is.

Pretty sure a Marine knows what a Navy shower is. The Navy, Uber for the Marines, said the retired Air Force guy. Thanks for your service Marine.

Water hours on my ammo ship in the Tonkin was a drag. Luckily, I was a machinist mate and we had lots of water down in the engineroom/fireroom. Mostly sweat.
To the OP....usually a quick shower is fairly efficient for hot water recovery, but back to back showers can be supplemented by turning on your propane burner, along with you 120 v element.

Never heard of a 7.5 gallon WH. It's usually 6 or 10 gallon capacity.

First, thank you for your service. If you're hooked up to the campground water spigot it will give you a continuous water, not hot water, that's the water heaters job. Your on board water pump will not run. Like others have stated running the water heater on both LP and electric will heat the water faster. BTW make sure you turn the spigot off if you're away from your camper for a length of time. The water heater in our Microlite 22FBS is 6 gallons.

My water heater capacity is 12 gallons. Plenty of hot water, even for the dear wife. Not quite enough for my 15 year old granddaughter who likes to take Hollywood showers though. I do like to listen for the squeals when it runs cold!

A Navy shower isn't a Navy shower unless it smells a little like JP5, lol. Yep, the 6g in my Suburban heater keeps on replenishing as long as you are hooked to city water or have fresh water in your fresh tank. If you don't have either one of those sources...you get no shower! It annoyed me that Forest River included that unusable 6g in the water heater as 'fresh water capacity'. It is unusable without additional fresh water tank gallons. ie, if you have 6 gallons in the hot water heater, and no water in your fresh tank, you effectively have NO WATER.

Pretty much the standard practice by all RV manufacturers, not just Forest River. Has been for decades.

I didn't know that. It's kind of deceptive, and something I would expect from a greasy used car salesman, not a bonafide company.

I haven't needed to see a brochure in several years... but do they say "fresh water capacity" or "fresh water tank capacity"?

Total Fresh Water Tank Capacity. 66.0 gal.
Number Of Gray Water Holding Tanks. 2
Total Gray Water Tank Capacity. 80.0 gal.
Number Of Black Water Holding Tanks 1
Total Black Water Tank Capacity. 40.0 gal.

The specs from the online brochure for mine simply says:
Fresh Water:
37.00 gal.
Gray Water:
30.00 gal.
Black Water:
30.00 gal.
Does not say 'tank' so that must be how they get away with it.
