My water heater seems to have difficulty starting. I can hear the clicking of the ignition and the gas coming out, but it will only lite after several attempts. Any ideas?

Make sure burner and gas tube is free of debris. Spider webs are one such culprit

Got some compressed air and blew it out - it expelled a bunch of, what look like paint chips? Anyway - it is now working perfectly. Started on first try! Thanks
